Ride the Giant redback at Aussie WorldUnderWater World is Queensland's largest oceanarium and aquarium. Kids at Ginger FactoryThe Ginger Factory

The Ginger Factory is a multi award winning attraction that has been welcoming visitors for over 40 years. Learn how ginger and honey is harvested and manufactured to create delicious, award-winning products. There are regular tours of the factory as well as beekeeping demonstrations of a working hive.

Both tours include lots of delectable product tastings. Rides at The Ginger Factory include the “Overboard” adventure water ride and it’s magical puppetry show, a great favourite with the kids and the open-air carriage train ride.

Gowinta Farms - Strawberry Farm

Gowinta Farms is the Sunshine Coast’s largest strawberry farm, located just 4.5km from Australia Zoo.

You can usually pick your own strawberries between May and November for just kg, however the farm is currently undergoing renovations. Tours and Pick Your Own facilities are currently not operating (as of June 2012). However, Gowinta Farms now has a Caravan Park available for travellers to park.

The Sunshine Plantation "The Big Pineapple"

The Big Pineapple is one of Queensland's best pineapple plantations. It is open every day from 9am to 5pm with some restrictions on public holidays. You can receive an interesting education into pineapples and the processes around their harvesting.

The Sunshine Castle at Bli Bli

Australia’s only Norman style castle, the Sunshine Castle attracts the imaginations of young and old with its medieval style complete with moats, turrets, towers and drawbridge. Visitors can take a self-walk tour through this step into the past. There’s a 24 metre high tower that affords wonderful views of the surrounding Hinterland, there are plenty of informative tours that touch on the historic elements of the castle, a Treasure Hunt for children and a fully licenced café that boasts a German sausage platter to die for.

The Castle is available for all manner of functions, including weddings, children’s parties and school workshops.
